We understand it takes hard work and great initiative to succeed.

APRIL 2013

The concept for Communication Tree was conceived.
Little did we know what was ahead.

JULY 2013

We officially launched Communication Tree Pty Ltd.
(No great fanfare but we may have secretly done an air punch.)

2013 – 2014

Like any business, our first year was a huge learning curve. (At times, we had to allocate extra funds to our chocolate budget to stay on focus.)
However, we learnt from both the setbacks and successes, in turn, developing a clear course for how we could use PR to help other businesses and organisations succeed.

Now an established part of our business community, Communication Tree’s reputation is for quality PR and marketing advice and support.
We have strong working relationships with complementary service providers including web developers, graphic designers and photographers. This enables us to provide clients with a level of support they weren’t able to previously access.
And we still do an air punch when we see our clients’ PR efforts bear fruit.

Even while studying journalism at university, Sue’s long term plans were to build a career in public relations.

After five years working as a radio journalist, the opportunity to move to PR appeared with a chance to be the Public Relations Coordinator for the then newly established Wyndham City Council. This was followed by a 13-year stint working in a variety of senior communication roles in the State Government of Victoria.

Always up for a new challenge, Sue established Communication Tree in mid-2013. Since then she’s relished the ability to draw on her experience and knowledge to help businesses and organisations develop their communication capabilities.

As a Geelong Small Business Festival presenter from 2015 to 2017, Sue has helped various individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organisations better understand content marketing, media relations and brand image.
